To our neighbors

ree

To our neighbors,

Today is uncertain, overwhelming, and frightening. It's okay, well, as they say, to not be okay.

It's possible you may not be able to voice what you feel. Or maybe you think, why voice what you feel, because everyone is going through it together.

Let's start with, everyone reacts to trauma differently. What we observe, feel, and remember is different than even our family members. Someone may feel lost, while someone else may feel angry. Someone may remember every detail, and someone else may just focus on what needs to be done to get away, the fight, flight, or freeze response.

Now let's talk about lessening the effect of Post-Traumatic Stress. Talking about the trauma early lessens the stress and the possibility of it becoming PTSD. When we don't face it as soon as possible, it can develop into Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, causing anxiety and possibly panic attacks.

Let's talk about it.
